Julian Thomas joins the Workroom team, tasked with helping us lead and grow our key client accounts.
Because over 90% of our revenue comes from existing contacts, we’re always thinking of ways to add value to our client relationships. So Julian’s role will be to think ‘beyond the brief’ and the day-to-day management, to take a broader view of our clients’ strategic and commercial ambitions.
Julian joins us from global brand implementation specialists VIM Group, with over 18 years’ experience working on a huge range of client accounts including Airbus, Shell, British Airways, RBS and Waitrose Cellar. He was Senior Account Director at Wardour Communications for five years, as well as a number of other communications agencies, and even did a two-year stint client-side as Director of Creative Services for wine company Laithwaites.
Working on high profile branding and communications projects seems to be a theme and he led the award-winning 2012 British Airways internal communications Olympic and Paralympic campaign, working with BA and LOCOG senior stakeholders.
We reckon his history degree from Oxford gave him the discipline of thorough research to develop strategic narrative and devising processes for complex multi-layered projects.
Oh, and did we say he can bake – what’s not to like?
Welcome to the team Julian!
