Sometimes, clients are surprised at the lengths we go to immerse ourselves in their world.
Last week, we headed to the EAG Expo once again to experience what’s new, but really so we could feel its full-sensory-overload ‘in the flesh’: the technicolour, the heart-racing, the escapist, the thrill-seeking, the plain silly. The EAG Expo is a heady mix of ‘gaming nostalgia’ and ‘cutting-edge tech’ set to soundtracks which veer from ‘arcade chaos’ to measured calm at the roulette wheel.
It was impossible not to be drawn into the physicality and playfulness of this escapist universe. Experiencing such moments is essential to our work. For one thing, it ensures we don’t simply ‘art direct imagery’. At Workroom, we always go ‘full chameleon’, getting under the skin of our brand clients to guarantee the end result won’t fail to attract their audience. Immersion is an investment of time and thinking which we never sacrifice. And it helps that we happen to love going through these moves together!
